What is this?

Students choose one of four global issues:
   Kick the Habit – De-carbonizing our lifestyles and economies (pdf)
   World Heritage – Local sites and international interests (pdf)
   Growing Up Girl – Challenges facing girls everywhere (pdf)
   World Water – Access to clean water (pdf)

Then, find the local angle to the issue, and create a 1-2 minute video news story. Download a flyer about the contest.

How will we help?

Nothing makes a video story more exciting than artfully edited b-roll. We provide lots of short video clips from the UN that you can edit into your original footage to create a top-notch and professional looking video. Watch out Katie Couric!

What's the prize?

Three winning teams of two students and one teacher won a trip to last years first ever UN Foundation Youth Leadership Summit in New York City. It was an exciting three days of meeting other students from around the world, engaging with UN officials, building skills, and participating in action-oriented service around NYC.
