Connie (Texas A&M): Environmental Trading Center Members of the Environmental Issues Committee, as part of their Clean Energy Now! campaign, will create a center for Texas A&M University to trade carbon credits to offset the campus carbon footprint and encourage the use of cleaner energy sources. |

Jessica (Colorado State University): Waste Not! Documentary Members of Students for Environmental Awareness will conduct a campus survey to track waste production and energy consumption by individuals and create a documentary to raise awareness of steps people can take to reduce their waste and energy use.

Tony (University of Wisconsin-Madison): Big Red Go Green University students will run a competition between the 18 campus dormitories to encourage students to reduce their energy usage and switch to clean and renewable energy sources.

Molly (Kansas State University): Greeks Go Green Leaders from the Greek Affairs Office will be mapping the carbon footprint of 30 fraternity and sorority houses as part of a challenge to change campus behavior toward a greener lifestyle.

Kira Darlow (Monterey Institute of International Studies): Climate Change Awareness Day Students will host a variety of activities to educate the campus and the community of Monterey about the effects of climate change, including drawing a chalk line around the city to show the impact of rising water levels on this coastal town.

Karina (Colorado State University): Green Directory Members of the Students for Environmental Awareness club will create a “green pages” for the community of Pueblo – a directory of businesses that make efforts to address environmental issues through lower energy consumption, recycling, using organic and local food products, etc.

Eric (Hofstra University): Clean Energy Enlightenment Campaign Members of the university’s Health and Wellness Club combined with Eta Sigma Gamma will embark on a campaign to increase awareness through the set-up of campus recycling “hot spots,” a media publicity campaign, and regular information sessions leading up to a Clean Energy Enlightenment Conference.
