What's this all about?Join a truly global debate! High school students in more than 80 countries participate in The People Speak Global Debates. Now, you can too! What do we debate?The Global Debate topics are always, well, global! The official debate topics for the 2008-2009 school year will be announced in August. Who can Participate?Any U.S. or international high school (grades 9-12, ages 14-19) can participate in the Global Debate. Please register your school online. If you have any questions about eligibility, contact us at info@thepeoplespeak.org.But wait, there's more!Participating schools can compete to win a trip for their Global Debates team (four students and two educators) to the United Nations Foundation Youth Leadership Summit.Held in New York in July 2009, this 3-day summit features opportunities to meet UN officials, meet experts in the areas related to the debate topics, and participate in special activities, including a UN tour.
