About Buzz CutsThe People Speak and Americans for Informed Democracy knew that college students would have the next great idea on how to educate and inspire their campus to "Send a net. Save a life." We challenged students to send in a Buzz Cuts proposal with their ideas for an innovative awareness raising and fundraising campus event. Students across the U.S. submitted ideas ranging from the "just so crazy, it might work" to the "I wish I had thought of that" category.
We brought these Buzz Cut Finalists to DC to learn even more about malaria and how to produce video toolkits to document their campus campaign and teach you how to do a similar campaign on your campus. We then sent them off, with all this new knowledge and a $500 mini grant to help them get started.
Proceeds go to Nothing But Nets, a UN Foundation initiative to send lifesaving bed nets to Africa. Learn more about Nothing But Nets.
